Edisto Beach Houses
All You Need To Know About Edisto Beach Houses So That You Can Decide On The Best One For Your Vacation.
Edisto Beach is a fine place to rent a beach house for a week or two. It is as laid back as they come and is perfect for a relaxing break for families. There is just enough to do here, what with a pleasant beach, as well as golfing, fishing, and boating, and there is no abject nightlife to ruin the ambience. There are many Edisto Beach houses, which range from a few hundred bucks per week up to a few thousand. The main Palmetto Boulevard, which runs the length and breadth of Edisto Beach town, has the bulk of them.
Edisto Beach itself is just 50 miles south of Charleston in South Carolina on a heading for St Helena Island. It is smaller and quieter than St Helena and is also quicker and easier to get to, being accessed by Savannah Highway going west of Charleston, then south along Highway 174. This highway then leads onto Palmetto Boulevard and cuts through the stunning Edisto Beach State Park. The main beach and township is just south of Edisto Beach State Park and bends around the southern tip of Edisto Island.
Activities available on Edisto Beach including swimming, walking, boating, and fishing, as well as some excellent golfing at the Edisto Beach Golf Club, which lies between the beach and river. Edisto Beach also has lovely, mild temperatures all year round and although prices go up in the high season, Edisto Beach houses are not overpriced. Most houses are lined up along Palmetto Boulevard, which is the end of Highway 174 and goes right into town. The best set ones are to the southern and western sides of the street, while options are also available along the river behind the town, overlooking the golf course, and up in Edisto Beach State Park.
