Most of the accommodation in Edisto Beach, South Carolina, is vacation rentals and beach houses. The reason for this is that Edisto Beach is more of a family holiday destination where people tend to stay for a period of time and enjoy the surroundings as opposed to it being a stop-off place or overnight party destination.
The beach is south of Charleston in southern South Carolina and is especially noted for its stunning, quiet beachfront and natural surroundings. Edisto Beach State Park is just north of the Edisto Beach township and is a special treat for those into nature hikes and birdwatching. There is some accommodation in here in the form of cabins and campgrounds and the four-mile nature hike is fully accessible to those in wheelchairs. The park is especially known for its marshes and waterfowl birds, along with its huge palmetto palm trees, which lend their title to the main street in Edisto Beach, Palmetto Boulevard.
Although quiet of a night, Edisto Beach does have a dozen or so good restaurants, as well as a handful of arty souvenir shops. There is also bags to do on the activity front, with some great fishing available, along with boat and kayak tours of the island’s creeks, good cycling and shelling, as well as golfing at the championship 18-holer, which belongs to the Wyndham Resort Ocean Ridge hotel. You don’t have to stay here to make use of the facilities as it is open to all fee-paying guests of other Edisto Beach accommodation.

Wyndham Resort is the premier resort on Edisto Island. It is a huge place behind the beach and is home of the Edisto Beach Golf Club, as well as a fitness suite, swimming pools, and a playground. The rooms here are large units that are well equipped with great facilities, while shops and restaurants are also onsite. The grounds are nice for strolling and there is a regular tram goes to the beach. - 3712 Village Court
One of only a few condo options in Edisto Beach overlooks the Edisto Marina at Big Bay Creek. It is a modern, third-floor penthouse complete with fully-fitted kitchen, bedrooms, and living areas. The whole complex is well turned out and it also comes with car parking and mooring space. - Cabins
The only cabins in Edisto Beach are located in Edisto Beach State Park to the north of town. There are seven cabins here - five one-bedroom and two three-bedroom – and they all come with queen beds, kitchenettes, and porches. Views over the marsh are nice and the hiking trail is also nearby. The park also has other Edisto Beach accommodation in the form of two campgrounds.
